CATV Troubleshooting
There is no picture or sound.
Your TV may be broken or the coaxial cable may be broken or damaged. Make sure that the TV (and VCR is attached) are plugged in and the electrical switch is on and that all cables are connected.
How do I correct fuzzy / blurry images?
Check that your TV (and/or VCR) is set on the correct channel and that the television is set to CATV mode. Also check all connections to make sure they are secure. Finally, if you are using a VCR, test the connection by connecting the TV directly to the cable jack.
Why do I only receive certain channels?
Many TVs require that CATV mode be set and channel auto-detection be done through the menu system in order to view channels over a certain number (quite often 13.) Please check the manual for your specific TV for instructions on how to check and correct these settings.
