Here, you can actually see what it is like to live in Illinois State's residence halls! These panoramic photos show what the rooms actually look like, as well as how some students have transformed the rooms into their own space.

Hewett Hall

Floors 2-6 | Floors 7-12 | Floors 13-17

Floors 2-6 are traditional "corridor-style" floors with double rooms; they do not have suites or apartments.

Floors 7, 9, 11 and 12 have one apartment on each floor that students can sign up for at the suite room rate.  On the floor chart each apartment is made up of rooms 01 (living room), 02 (passageway to bedroom and restroom), 03 (bedroom), and 04 (bedroom).

Floors 13-17 have 2 suites on each floor. One of the suites includes rooms that end in 25-living room, 26-bedroom & 27-bedroom (the bathroom in the suite is not numbered but it’s there) and the other suite includes rooms that end in 01-living room, 02-passageway to bedroom and restroom, 03-bedroom, and 04-bedroom (the bathroom in the suite is not numbered).

Each suite or apartment has a living room, two bedrooms, and its own semi-private bath (just for suite residents).  There is a small sofa, chair and side table in each living room.  Each bedroom has two closets, two beds that loft, two dressers, two desks and two chairs.

The first number in your room number is also the floor number. Since all of the floors in this Residence Hall are the same just use the last two digits in your room number. EX room '524' will correspond to number '24' above. Please Note: The dimensions on these rooms are close approximations; they may vary by an inch or so from room to room. We are in the process of refining these measurements to more accurately reflect the actual measurements on each room
