Student Nursing Living Learning Community. The Nursing community is for students majoring in Nursing. 

This community provides you with the opportunity for academic support, career exploration, and integrated social experiences.

Community programs and activities are geared toward your academic and career interests, and include opportunities for you interact with faculty outside the classroom.

How to live in the Nursing Community

Students who are nursing majors and wish to live on the Nursing Lifestyle community must complete the Nursing application. Students who are currently living in the community and wish to return are not required to fill out an application. Acceptance to the lifestyle is based on individual responses to the questions on the application.

The community offers many opportunities for academic and social interaction:

  • Interaction with faculty outside of the classroom.
  • High-quality programming to enhance your discovery of the nursing field
  • In-hall academic advising
  • Study sessions for nursing classes
  • Interaction with professionals and alumni who are currently pursuing careers in Nursing
  • Field trips to support career exploration in the medical field
  • Personal and floor volunteer opportunities to share your increasing expertise in the medical field with the Bloomington-Normal community.

Policy

  1. Residents must be admitted majors in the Mennonite College of Nursing. Students interested in applying to Nursing may be eligible to reside in the student nursing community if space is available after students in the nursing major have been assigned.
  2. Residents must abide by the quiet lifestyle policy
