Summer Housing - 2012
Summer Housing is available to students attending classes during the summer 2012 semester and participants of workshops sponsored by Illinois State University.
General Information
Summer housing for 2012 will be available beginning Sunday, May 13 and ending Friday, August 10. University Housing Services offers a limited number of spaces on a “first-come, first-served” basis in designated residence halls during the summer session. Most rooms are double occupancy. The availability of single rooms is dependent on space demands. A mandatory meal plan is included in the housing contract. Housing application-contracts are mailed in April upon request. Summer Housing for 2012 is located in Atkin and Colby Halls. Both are ten story, air-conditioned residence halls located on the southwest side of campus. Atkin and Colby floors are single sex floors with one bathroom per floor. Summer housing floors are quiet lifestyle. Resnet is available in the summer. All residence halls are nonsmoking.
Residents must provide their own bed linens, towels, wastebasket, and personal items. Room photos are available on the University Housing Facebook page. Students who bring cars may arrange for parking through the Office of Parking and Transportation (309) 438-8391.
Room assignments will be available upon check-in at the Atkin-Colby Front Desk on the beginning date of the contract period.
Process Details
Complete the 2012 Summer Housing Contract and return to the Office of Residential Life, Campus Box 2600, Normal, IL 61790-2600.
Make a payment. An initial payment of $75 or payment in full must be submitted with the Summer Housing contract. The $75 is applied toward the student’s summer housing charges.
Residents are held responsible for damage to residence hall property and will pay all charges upon receiving a bill for the damage.
* Students may choose to pay for their room and meal plan in two installments of approximately 50% of the total charges.
* Students using the installment plan must pay a $15 service charge.
Rates
Residents must be enrolled in classes during the time they are living in the residence halls.
*All Summer Housing Contracts end Friday, August 10, at 6 p.m. All residents must be moved out at that time.
